Most of these actions originate in the discontent of the casual and temporary workforce. Since the police attack on Honda HMSI workers and the registration of the Honda union in 2005 there have been several incidents of wildcat action. The strike continued for 24 hours, the security personnel had to apologise in front of the workers. The established union asked them to get back to work and promised that things will be taken care of. The temporary workers raised demands concerning their precarious work-contract. In response temporary workers – not represented by the union – went on a wildcat strike, which brought production to a halt.
